HU recognised for excellent Erasmus+ record
The Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin (HU) is among the three German universities that sends the most students to other EU countries as part of Erasmus+, the European exchange programme. This was confirmed in the 2017 Erasmus+ annual report presented by EU Education Commissioner Tibor Navracsics in Brussels on 24 January 2019 .
Accordingly, France, Germany and Spain were the three most important countries for sending students, while Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom counted as the three most popular study destinations. The report also shows that more people than ever before are participating in the programme and the number of projects has risen further.
Altogether, in 2017 Erasmus+ supported around 104,000 participants from Germany, and around 800,000 for Europe as a whole – representing a year-on-year increase of almost ten percent.
