Combinations
Business Education (Economics and Administration) can be studied as Core subject with teacher training: 113 CP, with a secondary subject (67 CP) to be selected (combinations).
Also offered as a secondary subject to a core subject at Technische Universit?t Berlin: Nutrition/Food Science, Information Technology, Agricultural and Horticultural Science/Landscape Design, Media Technology (application to the TU).
*One credit point (CP) equals a workload of 25 - 30 hours for preparation, follow-up and attendance at classes.
Course objectives
Alongside the acquisition of subject-specific competence in both Economic Sciences and the selected second subject, the course aims to develop skills for organising and managing teaching, learning and development environments (in vocational colleges, in commercial training and in educational institutions) as well as in dealing with the people who are being taught. Graduates in Business Education (Economics and Administration) are qualified for jobs in the sectors of continuing education and vocational training, and in the area of human resources. Successfully completing the bachelor's degree with teacher training is the requirement for embarking on a (teacher training) master’s course in the selected subject combination.

The training of teachers for vocational colleges has a century-long tradition at Humboldt-Universit?t. Since the mid-1990s, Humboldt-Universit?t has been the only institution in the Berlin/Brandenburg region to offer Economics Teaching along with the associated teacher training for the professional economics sector.
