Description

The School of Business and Economics cordially invites you to the Nobel Prize Lecture 2025, entitled “Economic Growth through Technological Progress and Creative Destruction”.

In this lecture, Chi Hyun KimandBen Schumann, members of the School of Business and Economics at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin, will present and discuss the central ideas underlying the work of the 2025 Alfred Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences Laureates: Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion, and Peter Howitt.

The lecture will introduce the work of Mokyr, Aghion, and Howitt, who uncovered the requirements for sustained economic growth through technological innovation.

Following the lecture, the School of Business and Economics warmly invites all participants to a New Year’s Reception, offering an opportunity for informal exchange and networking with members of the academic community and guests.

The event will be held in English. Registration is not required.
