On 23 November 2021, the President of Finland, Sauli Niinist?, visited Humboldt-Universit?t for a Humboldt Speech on Europe. In his speech entitled "The case for a stronger Europe in a harder world", he presented approaches on how Europe can be strengthened to have a place in today's world order. He called for greater cohesion in the area of security in order to be able to defend itself against external pressure. Without this strengthening, a stable Europe would be inconceivable.
After the speech, Sauli Niinist? answered questions from the audience and engaged in discussion with the participants.
