Since 2016, the Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin have been inviting guests to be whisked away into the fascinating world of science in the ambience of the Sauriersaal with the lecture series "Science in the Sauriersaal".
Each lecture lasts 45 minutes and takes place once a month on Fridays at 7.30 pm, with the exception of the summer break (June to August). Admission is free. After the lectures, guests can visit the museum exclusively until 22:00. The lectures are recorded and published.
Communicating science
Research is one of the key driving forces for solving major social problems. Nevertheless, research is not yet recognised by the general public, especially in Berlin. The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (MfN) and the Faculty of Life Science at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin see it as their responsibility to bring the content of modern research to the general public and get people excited about science.
