Description
Project B08 considers preferences in the (very) long run. Work in the first two funding periods resulted in new methods and in historical data sets regarding preferences and societal conditions, especially on changes to social and national identities. In the third funding period, the team will continue to explorenew data sources, analyze how individual and social identities translate into policy preferences, and explore how they interact with external shocks such as changes in cross-border connectivity, intensified global competition, or environmental disasters. Applications include studies on labor force participation, voting, and vaccine hesitancy.
