The aim of the sub-project "Growing up with a sports club", led by HU Berlin, is to investigate how sports clubs can adapt to the changing everyday and living environment of children and young people in order to be attractive to children and young people as an agent of socialisation. To this end, an online survey of around 2000 young people aged between 13 and 17 is to be launched. On the one hand, the survey will analyse whether and which sports young people do in their free time, which offers they take up, for what reasons and with what relevance. Secondly, from the perspective of socialisation to sport, the question is which adolescents find access to certain sport settings and which barriers to access are perceived. From the perspective of socialisation in and through sport, the extent to which young people who are active in sport differ from their peers who are less active in sport in terms of self-efficacy and health aspects is analysed. The quantitative sub-studies and questions from the joint project will be continued in 2024 under "Move4Health 2.0".
