Competence Center Flight, Trauma and Development in the Context School

The Flukos+ project combines aspects of science-practice transfer with educational research.

As part of the modularised training courses, developmental specifics relating to refugees and trauma as well as those caused by disabilities are discussed and innovative approaches to action are taught. Networking programmes already established throughout Germany are also presented. Reflection on practical action and self-care
self-care takes place primarily in the accompanying supervision. In addition, a multiplier group will be formed as part of the competence centre, consisting of professionals experienced in the field and already trained in the Flukos project (2019-2021). This will achieve considerable dissemination effects in the school landscape in Berlin and nationwide and at the same time enable these regularly highly committed professionals to be strengthened.

The specific feature of Flukos+ (the ‘+’ stands for the close link between professionalisation,
professionalisation, school development and research) is continuous, longitudinal research in cooperation with schools with schools, which are institutions involved in educational work with refugee children and young people.
