Description

This project focuses on new strategies to reduce the Li||garnet SSE interfacial resistance as well as to stabilize the Li metal anode for advanced SSLMBs, through a liquid metal alloy (LMA) interface. The key objective is (1) to achieve a stable Li||SSE interface through liquefaction and self-healing of the interface, (2) to obtain insights into the electrochemical behaviors of the novel LMA interface for interface improvement, and (3) eventually to develop advanced porotype SSLMBs with the LMA interface and high-capacity cathode materials based on transition metal sulfides.
