CRC-TRR 190: Biased Beliefs in Dynamic Decisions: Extensions to Policy and Communication (SP A02)

The second phase of project A02 builds on the first phase and continues its research on subjective expectations and their dynamic nature. A novel aspect in the second funding phase is the focus on communication, which is an important mode of changing expectations. The project will conduct controlled experiments both in decision laboratories and on survey platforms in order to analyse and identify how communication affects belief formation and economic decisions. Concerning the project’s policy applications, a new focus lies on dynamic decisions that are related to retirement and pension reforms.
